Luohu, representing the development of Shenzhen city, now appears to be expired after a short-term great leap forward. If planning for Luohu can be considered as a top-down step-one colonization, can architecture become an urban device that redevelop the city from bottom up? Luohu-Re-Search is a series of urban devices. By searching the urban expired nodes from urban memories and urban phenomena, the project aims to connect urban elements of different scales, different programs and different attributes through an architectural approach on site and tries to activate potentials of those rediscovered urban points.  It concerns rather on-site condition, medium effects and possible complexity after intervention than architectural method. It tries to provide new opportunities to Luohu, by bringing an urban proposal beyond hypothesis.
