Meng Yan Gave a Keynote Speech at the International Forum on Urbanism (IFoU’2025) in Lisbon

On July 2, 2025, the opening day of the International Forum on Urbanism in Lisbon, Meng Yan, the principal architect of URBANUS delivered a keynote speech of “The Shenzhen Experiment: The Interventionist Architecture and an Alternative Urban Paradigm”.

On the forum’s third day, Meng stepped in as a last-minute replacement for renowned American sociologist and historian Richard Sennett (who was unable to attend due to health reasons) to engage in a dialogue with celebrated Danish architect and urban design consultant Jan Gehl. Their conversation took place at the Open Conference session “Human-Centered Urbanism in the 21st Century: Insights from Gehl & Sennett.”
