ABSTRACT  From the perspective of the curator of the 2017 Shenzhen Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture, the author tries to put the latest version of the biennale within the historical framework of larger revolution initiated by international biennales and architectural exhibitions, and analyzes the specific case of urban curation inside an urban village, reflecting on the curatorial concept and exhibition narrative. Through discussing the exhibition’s dual role of catalyzing architectural culture and interacting with the city, the essay further explores the unique contribution of the Shenzhen Biennales. Positioning itself as a research and experimental platform on urbanism and urbanization, how can it constantly output its intellectual energy into the larger urban context?
