URBANUS awarded as the Overall Winner of THE PLAN Award 2024

The Italian design magazine – THE PLAN announced the final results of THE PLAN Award 2024 on the awards ceremony, November 14. The project of URBANUS, Nantou Hybrid Building, was awarded as Winner of the Renovation Completed category. Furthermore, the same project was awarded as the Overall Winner. That’s Winner of the Winners.

And another project by URBANUS, China Merchants Group History Museum, had been selected as Finalist project of the Culture category.

At the awards ceremony, Meng Yan expressed his gratitude to the project client Shenzhen Nanshan District Government and Vanke Co., who gave URBANUS full support during the design and construction process. And thanks for the collaborators, URBANUS colleagues who worked on this extremely complex project. Nantou Hybrid Building is small but it plays a much bigger role. As a pilot project of Nantou Regeneration Plan, it seeks to combat the dominating real estate driven urban renewal, and demonstrates a possible organic evolution model. It celebrates hybridity, the indigenous and seeks for an alternative vision of the future Chinese cities.
